Our Business Development Representative (BDR) is an integral part of our Growth team, working across a wide range of clients and services. A BDR at Modus typically reports to the Associate Director, Marketing Strategy, and works closely with the EVP, Growth to help meet revenue generation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Research, identify, and qualify potential clients through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and responding to inbound inquiries, aligning with revenue generation goals.

  • Initial Outreach: Execute high-volume outbound activities (emails, calls, LinkedIn messages) to engage decision-makers and schedule meetings for the sales team.

  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and target market segments to tailor outreach efforts effectively.

  • Lead Research: Provide research for individuals and companies that are qualified leads to assist sales leaders in engagement and understanding of opportunities. 

  • Lead Curation: Engage with and follow-up with prospects from outbound, cold outreach, and inbound activities. Participate in discovery calls and client strategy briefings to understand client needs and pain points, ensuring a strong fit between our digital solutions and Modus’ ideal customer profiles (ICPs).

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing: Work closely with the Associate Director, Marketing Strategy and the EVP, Growth to refine targeting strategies, craft compelling outreach messaging, and optimize the lead handoff process.

  • CRM Management: Log all activities accurately, manage the prospect pipeline, and maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system (HubSpot) to support reporting and performance tracking.

  • Other duties related to the position may arise from time to time and may be assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a US-based sales development, business development, or related role, ideally in a B2B environment.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages to US-based audiences.

  • Confidence in engaging with senior decision-makers.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a proactive approach to driving results.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and outreach tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Seamless.ai).

  • Ability to understand and articulate complex digital services such as web & app development, digital transformation, user research, UX/UI, SEO, and marketing strategy.

  • Experience leveraging Gen AI tools to augment workflows

  • A passion for technology, digital trends, and innovation
